About Me

Senior Backend Engineer with 5.5+ years of experience building distributed systems, real-time gaming platforms, and cloud-native infrastructure on AWS. I design scalable microservices, fault-tolerant architectures, and high-throughput backend systems leveraging PostgreSQL, caching, and event-driven patterns. I own the full lifecycle, from system design through production operations, reliability, and performance optimization.

I don't just write code. I design systems that survive traffic spikes at 3 AM without waking anyone up. My job is to make sure the infrastructure behind your product is so reliable, you forget it exists.

I think in database schemas, dream in API contracts, and argue with load balancers for a living. If a system can break, I've already thought about it. If it shouldn't break, I've already built it.

Gamified Commerce & Gaming Platform

India's first gamified shopping app. Built the payments service, multi-currency wallet ledger, and the orders module powering checkout, gift cards, and DigiGold. The platform scaled to ~600K req/min, with ₹5 Cr peak daily payments and 30 Cr+ in-game transactions.

SkyeUTM — Drone Traffic Management

Serverless backend for an unmanned aircraft traffic-management platform regulating shared airspace. Built the deconfliction engine that continuously verifies 3D separation between aircraft and scaled it to 1,000+ drones tracked live, with real-time WebSocket telemetry and APIs for role management, drone registration, and RPTO batch handling.

Owned the backend for one of India's largest backpacker hostel chains, spanning 50+ properties across the country. Engineered a custom booking engine on top of the eZee reservation APIs to lift direct guest bookings, with Razorpay payments and an AWS Lambda / S3 / SES serverless stack.

A skills-training marketplace connecting learners with instructors across 100+ skills through live, upcoming, and recorded Zoom lectures personalized to the instructors they follow. Built the backend and a GraphQL-powered React admin dashboard, with the Zoom Meeting API driving the live-class scheduling.

Backend Engineer

Current

Architected the Payment Service and a multi-currency wallet ledger with multi-gateway integration (Razorpay, Cashfree, Paytm), version-aware routing, and payment-capture reconciliation.
Led the Orders module, the largest area of ownership (300+ commits), covering order lifecycle, cash/non-cash deduction waterfall, gift-card redemption, invoicing, plus Product Bundling and DigiGold (Augmont) flows.
Built the Transaction History subsystem and an auto-convert (winnings → game token) engine with risk-gated enablement, syncing state across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and CleverTap.
Created 17 NestJS modules end to end and integrated server-side analytics & attribution (Singular S2S, CleverTap, PostHog); helped scale the platform to ~600K req/min and 30 Cr+ daily transactions.
Built an async recharge + KYC orchestration layer using a vendor-agnostic Adapter Pattern (~70% lower third-party cost), cut backend load ~50% via CDN caching, and served as primary escalation owner for production incidents.

Designed and built a serverless backend for SkyeUTM and RPTO, drone unmanned-traffic-management products.
Engineered a deconfliction system ensuring safe vertical and horizontal separation between drones, scaling to 1,000+ drones running live.
Developed APIs for user roles, drone registration/management, and RPTO batch handling on AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, Redis, and WebSockets.
